HashKey Exchange has been granted a Type 5 regulated activity license by the Hong Kong SFC, making it the first SFC-licensed exchange permitted to offer derivatives products to professional investors in HK. The license covers perpetual swaps and options on BTC and ETH. Bybit and OKX are reportedly in advanced stages of their own HK licensing applications.
This marks a significant shift as regulated derivatives venues expand in Asia.
