The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved NYSE Arca's application to list and trade Ethereum ETF options, effective April 7, 2026. This follows the approval of BTC ETF options in Q4 2024.
The move opens institutional-grade ETH hedging via regulated U.S. venues for the first time. Deribit and OKX are expected to see competing volume as CME-registered funds can now hedge ETH exposure domestically.
Options market makers have pre-loaded over $400M in delta-hedged inventory.
